Dog Walking Etiquette
Keeping our community clean and healthy for everyone and every dog!
We ask that every dog walker practice dog walking etiquette while enjoying our beautifully landscaped lawns and common areas. Please be guided by the following and encourage fellow dog walkers to do so as well:
- Give your pooch time to urinate at home before walking them down the street. Urination kills grass, trees, and shrubs and makes it unsanitary for children playing in the spot. If necessary, stop only at light poles and fire hydrants.
- Take several plastic bags with you in case your dog needs to make more than one stop.
- Be respectful of others use of sidewalk. Some people have a fear of animals they perceive as aggressive. Within reason, be sure to share the sidewalk in such as way that the dog does not lunge, or approach strangers unless the stranger invites this.
- Be respectful of others properties. The sidewalks are common areas but lawns are the property of each homeowner. Please do not allow your dog to wonder onto the lawns to do their business.
